Second Sight

A plain guide to psychic and angel readings.

Second Sight is an independent guide to psychic and angel readings. It is not Talks2Angels, the New Zealand reading service that used this domain until the late 2010s, and it does not offer readings of any kind.

Types of readings, from clairvoyance to angel cards

Readers advertise a menu of gifts and formats. Here is the whole menu, translated.

The three clairs

Clairvoyance — clear seeing. The reader reports mental images: places, faces, scenes. Clairaudience — clear hearing: names, phrases, fragments of speech. Clairsentience — clear feeling: moods, pains, atmospheres, often described as picking up what a person or house feels like. Most working readers claim a blend, with one dominant. The trio is a taxonomy of experience, not evidence about its source — psychologists note the same imagery, inner speech and felt-sense are ordinary features of imagination.

Mediumship

A medium claims to relay communication from the dead. Sessions run as a chain of offered details — a name letter, a cause of death, a shared memory — with the sitter confirming or declining each. Mediumship is emotionally the heaviest format and commercially the most fraught: the customer is grieving, hope does the validating, and a hit can feel miraculous while the misses evaporate from memory. If you go, go with the price fixed and a friend's number handy.

Card systems

Tarot is the structured one: seventy-eight cards with centuries of stable meanings, laid in spreads where position changes sense. Oracle decks are free-form — any theme, any count, meanings printed on the card. Angel cards are oracle decks with an angelic frame; an angel reading is usually an oracle reading with the guidance attributed upward. The structure of tarot is why it dominates serious practice: it gives reader and sitter a shared board to think on.

Remote viewing

Borrowed from Cold War research programmes, remote viewing claims perception of distant scenes. The US government ran such a programme for two decades and closed it after review found no usable intelligence. In commercial psychic work the term mostly signals a reader who likes the laboratory register.

Choosing between them

Pick by the conversation you actually want. Decision-sorting suits tarot's structure. Comfort in grief is mediumship's territory — enter with the cautions on the front page. And for self-reflection with no third party at all, a dream journal does much of what a reading does, free.
